Knowledge and Work Groups

The Pharmacy and Medicine Area has several groups and commissions to advance and promote the associated entities in this area:   

Commission of Pharmacy Managers 

The Commission of Pharmacy Managers is made up of pharmacists from health centers (hospitals, socio-health and Primary Care) and institutions associated with the CSC. Its function is to establish a shared framework of action and consensus in the different areas of drug policy and efficiency and sustainability in the management of pharmaceutical services. 

The coordinator is Dr. Antoni Gilabert, director of the Department of Pharmacy and Medicine of the CSC, with the support of the members of the Executive Commission of Pharmacy. 

Executive Commission of Pharmacy 

The Executive Commission of Pharmacy consists of a small group of people appointed by the Commission of Pharmacy Managers to be able to manage those issues related to Pharmacy and Medicine in an agile manner and without having to convene the plenary of the commission. The Executive Committee also has the advice of the people responsible for other CSC committees: Primary Care, Mental Health, Intermediate Care and Health Management. 

The coordinators are Dr. Antoni Gilabert, director of the Pharmacy and Medicine Area of ​​the CSC, and Dr. Josep M. Guiu, chief of planning and pharmacotherapeutic coordination of the Pharmacy and Medicine Area of ​​CSC. 

Pharmacy and Medicine Advisory Committee 

The Advisory Commission for Pharmacy and Medicine is in charge of advising and proposing the main lines of the drug policy of the CSC and its transfer to the sector. It consists of pharmacists, managers, care directors, responsible for mental health, intermediate care, information systems and economic-financial. 

The coordinators are Dr. Cristina Roure, head of the Pharmacy service of the Terrassa Health Consortium (CST); Dr. Xavier Pérez, healthcare director of Integral Health Services of the Baix Empordà (SSIBE) and Dr. Antoni Gilabert, director of the Pharmacy and Medicine Area of ​​the CSC.

Work groups

One of the aspects to be promoted by the CSC is the constitution of specific work groups on topics of interest to the associates that require technical work in order to reach conclusions and share them. Some of the initiated work groups are:

  • Results in health
  • Bio-hazardous medicines
  • Management of selective immunosuppressive drugs
