Care integration evaluation group (GAIA)

GAIA is a working group that brings together entities collaborating with the Research Department of the CSC in the development of applied research in care integration of the Catalan health system. The main objectives are:

  • Develop tools for measuring service integration
  • Evaluate care integration in different environments in Catalonia from different perspectives and methodological approaches
  • Recommendations and propose strategies for improving care integration in the territory

The group is led by the Research Department of the CSC with the participation of Serveis de Salut Integrats Baix Empordà, Badalona Serveis Assistencials, Grup SAGESSA, Parc de Salut Mar, Institut Català de la Salut, PAMEM, la Fundació de Salut Empordà, Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa  and Consorci Hospitalari de Vic. GAIA is open to the participation of interested partners in the analysis of healthcare integration.

In 2013 the GAIA was recognized by the European Commission as a research group in the field of care integration.
