Persons with complex needs

People with Complex Needs represent one of the greatest challenges for health and social systems. It is a population group, mostly elderly, in a situation of dependency and that meet certain conditions such as suffering from chronic diseases and have strong social needs. International studies place this group at approximately 5% of the population, but they represent an expenditure of 50% of the resources allocated to the health sector.

Faced with this challenge, the Catalan Health and Social Care Consortium has launched a project led by Dr. Antoni Anglada, to analyze this situation and make a proposal through a model of territorial intervention.
